How to Use The Forge Calculator
1. Select ores and choose Weapon or Armor
Minimum of 3 ores to craft,Composition values,Variant chances aswell as trait values will appear as you insert ores.
2. Read forge chances and damage/health ranges
See your chances to craft everything,and what youll get if you do(Left side is clickable!).
3. Use the Inventory Optimizer
Get Damage AND DPS values for Tank/Glass cannon builds,using YOUR avaliable ores,aswell as EFFECTIVE values!
Explanations for how we calculate our values:
We use trait values and convert them to EFFECITVE dps,and rank weapons based on effectively how much dps they could do
Some examples:Rivalites boost of 20% crit chance is considered a 20% chance to do 50% more damage,and is counted as a 10% boost ON AVERAGE
The same applies for things like armor and darkryte,mythril,obsidian,they are counted as 15-30% boosts to defense EFFECTIVELY,so we count it as if they boost defense
This ensures our ore combos give us the absolute highest potential possible.
The best armor in The Forge is calculated using Darkryte and Obsidian(30%),and the best armor with Darkryte and Magmaite(30%)

How do forge chances work?
Forge chances are calculated from your selected ore composition (up to 4 ore types). Each ore contributes a percentage, and the calculator maps that composition to predicted outcomes and odds.
Does ore percentage affect traits?
Yes. Traits and boosts are tied to composition thresholds and/or the percentage of specific ores in the mix. Increasing an ore’s share can increase the chance (or strength) of its related trait rolls.
What’s the best ore combination for DPS?
It depends on your weapon and what you value (raw damage, crit, attack speed, etc.). Use the Inventory Optimizer to search across many valid mixes using your owned ores and compare effective DPS results.
World 3 differences?
World 3 introduces additional ores and forging outcomes. Use the World 1–2 / World 3 toggle at the top to switch the ore pool and calculations.

How traits are affected
Traits are tied to ore presence and/or thresholds. Increasing an ore’s share can increase either the chance or the strength of its roll (depending on the trait).
World 3 forging differences
World 3 introduces additional ores and outcomes. Use the World toggle at the top of the calculator so your ore pool and result mapping match the world you’re crafting in.
